Playing the alpha
Rise to Greatness is in closed alpha. Players are invited in waves from the waitlist, so the servers, the balance and the people playing grow together.
How you get in
Join the waitlist
Leave your e-mail address on this site.
Confirm it
Open the link in the confirmation e-mail and press confirm. An address that is never confirmed is deleted.
Wait for your wave
When a wave opens, your invite arrives with a one-time key shaped like this:

Download the build for your system and check its checksum and signature before you run it.
Create your account
Start the game, register with your key and play your first raid: The Threshold, a short solo floor that teaches you the rules.
What to expect
This is an alpha. Things will break, balance will change between sessions, and the game next month will not be the game today. A build has to match the servers' version: when a new one is out, the game tells you, and this page has the download.
The game is online-only and needs a steady connection to its servers in Germany. Tell me what you find — what the alpha reports is what shapes the next wave.

Downloads
Builds are not public yet: your invite e-mail carries the link to the current version. Once releases are published here, this section lists every file with its size and checksum.
Save these lines as a file named allowed_signers next to the download — it is the public key the signature is checked against:

Every release comes with SHA256SUMS, the SHA-256 checksum of each file, and SHA256SUMS.sig, an OpenSSH signature over that list. OpenSSH is already part of Windows 10 and 11, Linux and macOS, so there is nothing to install. The first command proves the list comes from me; the second proves your file matches the list.

Get-FileHash .\rise-to-greatness-*-windows-x86_64.zip -Algorithm SHA256The signature check must print “Good "file" signature for rtg-release”. On Linux, sha256sum must print OK for your file; on Windows, compare the hash Get-FileHash prints with the line for your file in SHA256SUMS. If anything does not match, do not run the file.
Why Windows warns you
The Windows build is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” on first launch. Verify the download first; if it matches, choose More info, then Run anyway.
